Form over this trip is not convincing from any of the 13 declared at the overnight stage, so only a tentative nomination goes to Super Road Train, who stays well and edges preference over Boobee, who is respected but has it to do from top weight. Charlie Double is also worth considering while he is in such good heart. He won well at Stratford on Sunday and should make a bold bid to defy his penalty. However, like many of the rest, he barley gets three miles and may be vulnerable on these terms. Boobee was in good form in point-to-points during the spring and almost got off the mark under rules at Uttoxeter earlier in the month. However, he looks harshly treated for his handicap debut and needs to pull something out of the hat. Therefore, it can pay to side with Super Road Train, who has always been suited by a grinding test of stamina. That is exactly what he will encounter here and the Oliver Sherwood-trained gelding can provide us with a solid run for the money tonight.
