In depth

Verdict

Town Parks is the only course and distance winner in the line-up having completed a double when scoring here in January though he looked to be feeling the effects of a fall at Ludlow on a return visit there in April. Touch Kick landed a Sandown handicap in December but didn't run so well from 5lb higher at Kempton on Boxing Day. Hogan's Height completed a hat-trick before well beaten in the Grade 1 Mildmay Novices' Chase at Aintree but he'll be better for his recent run at Fakenham where he led for a long way. TOO MANY DIAMONDS had a brilliant summer winning three times and finishing a very close second in much better races than this. He led for a long way when tackling 3m in Grade 3 company at Ascot last time and can go in again before the real winter ground arrives. The ex-Irish Conna Cross made a successful debut for new connections at Kempton in April and was only beaten a length when tackling this grade at Worcester the following month.
