An uninspiring finale for which the suggestion to small stakes is Flying Fortress. The Henry Daly-trained gelding has been disappointing of late including in handicap grade last time but has been dropped 6lb in the ratings and must be given a chance on his placed effort in a novice event behind a useful sort at Haydock in November. A reproduction may suffice and the booking of Richard Johnson further strengthens his claim. Reverse Swing had nothing to spare when a narrow winner at Wincanton (now 6lb higher) and looked beaten next time when coming to grief two out. However, in such a poor event Heathor Dalton's mare still represents a big threat while Doctor Wood showed signs of a return to form last time and shouldn't be discounted. See More Snow has shown little in novice events but is open to improvement off a low mark on his handicap bow and should be noted in the exchanges.
