Verdict

It may be prudent to keep stakes to a minimum in a race restricted to conditional and amateur jockeys who aren’t allowed to use their whips. Masterdream is generally best on summer jumping ground but Fred Bear is also fit from the Flat, though has never raced over a trip this far. Lelantos was beaten when unseating his rider at Southwell and is 2lb higher here while Global Famenglory is now 0-13. Sheila Nash is best at Worcester but KENTFORD MALLARD won at the last meeting here and can defy a 3lb rise as long as the rains stay away.
