In depth

Verdict

Absolutelythebest gets the vote in this trappy affair with Waterloo Son and Flying Enterprise the others to consider. The selection won twice without the cheekpieces on so it was something of a surprise to see them fitted last time. They seemed to have an adverse effect as he disappointed down the field behind Sea Wall and as they are left off again today he may be able to resume winning ways. Waterloo Son has not been seen on the racecourse since May but he has to be of interest on his chasing debut. However, he may find this trip too sharp on his return to action and for that reason he is passed over. Flying Enterprise was bitterly disappointing when last seen out over hurdles but has always given the impression that he would make a better chaser and he is worth a look in the market. Borora is better than he showed last time and is another with claims, but for the winner we will return to Absolutelythebest
