In depth

Verdict

Another very tricky contest for punters and Northern Lakes is just preferred to Adlestrop and Salesin. John Queally's six-year-old disappointed on soft ground at Downpatrick last time out but is better judged on his previous run when a close up fourth in what looked a strong race at Punchestown. He looks on a very fair mark here and looks the one to beat. Salesin could be thrown in here on his best form but ran very poorly at Cartmel last time out and doesn't look too trustworthy. With that in mind Adlestrop could be the main threat to the selection, having put in an improved effort at Stratford last time out. The best of the rest could be Arabian Moon, but with Timmy Murphy on board, Northern Lakes is expected to go very close and he gets our vote.
