Miss Ladybird and Mouseen will both be popular after wins last time and each has a chance, but preference is for GARAFENA. Richard Lee does well at this track and his stats include a win for the selection over course and distance, and on fast ground, in June. She disappointed last time when there was cut in the ground, and a 2lb drop since then won't do her chance any harm. She is definitely better when conditions are on the fast side and she can come back to form this time. Miss Ladybird is no easybeat after winning a Uttoxeter handicap hurdle a shade cosily, but going up 16lbs. The handicapper has certainly asked her a searching question here and she will find it much tougher now. Mouseen won by four lengths at Newton Abbot and escapes a penalty in this. Conditions and trip also suit the Alhaarth gelding and he can go well. Snake Hips is proving very difficult to win with for Evan Williams, and both Crazy Bold and Crosby Jemma look short on gears. Farne Island is capable of being thereabouts but is likely to find at least one too good and we hope one of those is Garafena.
