    Verdict

BEAR VALLEY was beaten less than a length at Beverley on his racecourse debut despite showing signs of inexperience. Mark Johnston’s colt can get off the mark in this ahead of Bacchus. The latter should also have improved for a decent debut effort in this grade at Newbury while Majoris may do better for today’s extra furlong after a modest start when sixth here last month. Black Bubba drops down a grade while Lester Kris is related to a couple of winners and is a newcomer to note for the Hannon yard.
