Western Aristocrat had the well thought of Lyric Street back in third when scoring on his debut at Newmarket in October. He could be anything this year and is worth noting on his comeback, but a chance is taken on INDIAN BALLAD staying the extra furlong. Ed McMahon's charge won four times last year and showed signs of further progress when going close over 6f at Hamilton last time. He's just preferred to Rhythm Of Light who beat a couple of previous winners when scoring at Newbury a fortnight ago. Mutajare produced his best effort so far when runner-up at Doncaster last time but drops back in trip here, while El Muqbil and Whaileyy should have come on for their seasonal debuts.
