Green Manalishi has shown improved form in recent starts having been given a break by the handicapper and Kevin Ryan's eight-year-old has to be respected off just a 2lb higher mark than when a close third behind Kaldoun Kingdom in the Silver Cup last week but FOL HOLLOW ran even better in the Ayr Gold Cup and gets the vote to resume winning ways with Atlantic Story rated the best of the rest. The selection was ninth but beaten just over three lengths by Jimmy Styles at Ayr and he should take plenty of beating for David Nicholls racing off a 1lb lower mark today. David Barron's Jaconet has been in good form of late but the handicapper has taken note of that and he may struggle off his new mark today, while Doctor Parkes faces no easy task off a 4lb higher mark than when a narrow winner at Ripon recently. Henry Candy's Oldjoesaid handles fast ground but is probably better on a softer surface and of more interest may be the Irish challenger Copper Dock, who has run well on the Polytrack at Dundalk in his last two starts. Mick Easterby's Atlantic Story has been running consistently well of late and should again be thereabouts but a better bet looks to be Fol Hollow, who can gain compensation for his decent effort in defeat in the Ayr Gold Cup.
