A dual winner over 6f in only four starts last season, MAID IN INDIA returned to action with a victory over the minimum trip at Thirsk with Marseille well beaten - there looks more to come from Eric Alston’s filly this year. The consistent Athollblair Boy is proving best on the all-weather and won at Newcastle last time but has just the one success in 20 starts on Turf and Lexington Times is preferred on last week’s second at Doncaster. Short Work and Muscika have both returned to winning marks but Mansfield is upped in class after placing at Thirsk.
