SOLE POWER looks set to repeat last year's win in what should be an exciting renewal. He failed to win another race last season but went close on more than occasion in Group 1 sprints including a head defeat in the L'Abbaye by today's rival Tangerine Trees. However, the latter carries a penalty for his Longchamp heroics and Ed Lynam's charge can take his revenge. Bated Breath is arguably the best sprinter in the race having found only Dream Ahead too good in both the July Cup at Newmarket and Sprint Cup here in September. He needed his first run of the season last year, though, and it could be the same story here. Monsieur Joe can be given a chance having finished just behind the selection when fourth at Meydan in March and Best Terms could go well at a big price as she looks sure to appreciate the return to sprinting.
