Verdict

Few are ruled out with any confidence in an fine Premier Handicap. Crambo and SANTOS BLUE came home one-two in a competitive Aintree handicap, but the latter may turn the form around here as many inmates of the Skelton yard have appeared to need their first run of the campaign. He was not beaten far and is just preferred, although both look progressive stayers in the making. Slate Lane has been expertly placed to land a low-key hat-trick in really smooth fashion and now faces his toughest test to date stepping up considerably in class. Emmet Mullins has proved so adept with this type of horse and he rates essential shortlist material. Sholokjack is interesting back over timber and Dubrovnik Harry houses each-way claims after a good run on his Cheltenham reappearance.
