La Dorotea has only run on the all-weather but produced an absolute blinder when a close fourth in the three-year-old All Weather Championship at Lingfield. There's no reason why she's shouldn't take to quick going and she looks better than Persun, whose three good nursery runs in the summer came on easier going than she'll face here. Gold Sands should make progress from her close third at Kempton in October and Mothers Finest, who has two Group 1 entries, looked in need of the experience when just touched off on her debut at Redcar. SHARQEYIH made a very encouraging debut at Newmarket and started a short-priced favourite at Lingfield a few days later but found Alfajer too good. She looks the type to do much better in her second season and can start off with a victory here.
