Verdict
Young Fire is well treated nowadays but needs the mud. Boardman was only beaten half-a-length over this trip at Ripon last time but has done all of his winning over shorter while Al Rufaa still has stamina to prove. MONTASSIB was a beaten favourite tried over a mile at Ascot last month but appeared to last home and is likely to be ridden more positively today. Harrow was second twice over the trip on Polytrack in March and caught the eye at Doncaster earlier in the month while Auditor has come on in leaps and bounds this year. Akhu Najla is the least exposed and open to further progress but hasn’t run since third in a Listed race at Sandown in May, though did finish ahead of Harrow and Encourageable on that occasion.
