Silvery Moon landed a bit of a gamble at Ayr last week but that was on soft ground and he steps up a couple of grades here. Takatul will be fancied to bounce back from a first defeat in four in a conditions race at Ascot and goes on the short-list, though has a length-and-a-half to find with Gratzie on only 3lb better terms. In The Red only found one too good on a belated reappearance at Leicester, though some rain wouldn't have come amiss. Redcar winner WEEKEND OFFENDER ran well off this mark when fourth at York last month. He encountered traffic problems that day and could go close in this with a clear run. All of Alfred Hutchinson's wins have come on left-handed tracks but he'll do well to give weight to the three-year-olds.
