It may be profitable to grant Dancing Rose the benefit of the doubt as she bids to reverse recent form with Tagula Sunrise. So the daughter of Danehill Dancer is the value call here. Others to note include: Harvest Warrior, who handled this course well earlier in the season and again looks sure to be a popular choice. However, the handicapper has taken no chances with him and he will do well to concede weight all round today. Dahteer was highly tried after winning a novices' stakes at Chepstow in June - running respectably in a Listed race at Deauville, before being outclassed in the Vintage Stakes at Goodwood. This is more his level and he has sound place claims if returning to something like his best. Tagula Sunrise - winner of a valuable prize at Doncaster at the start of this month - also has to be on the shortlist. She proved herself capable when bursting through near the finish at Town Moor and another bold bid is anticipated. However, it is worth bearing in mind that Dancing Rose was badly hampered inside the final furlong in that race and, as she meets her old rival on 1lb better terms, Clive Cox's charge looks the bet of a tricky race to fathom.
