Verdict

The ex-Irish Gentleman Jeff has his first start over fences and may need the experience while Our Bob has been making too many mistakes over the bigger obstacles after scoring over hurdles and in a bumper. Thumbs Up made a winning start over fences at Cartmel last May but is another who hasn't convinced with his jumping on subsequent starts. Humbie's only success came over 2m7f and he's been racing over much further and was beaten a long way behind GLENCREE at Catterick in January. The winner was returning from a very long break that day and has since been beaten at Doncaster but the ground should be in his favour and his pace can see him home.
