Wotashirtfull, Mandurah and Rocker are the three against the field in a good quality sprint handicap with WOTAHIRTFULL, racing as well as ever, taken to make up for some near misses. After being soundly beaten on several starts previously, Mandurah routed his field at Thirsk last time. The handicapper has reacted harshly, raising him 10lbs and this now leaves him requiring a lifetime best to score here. He has won over this course and distance, including a win at this meeting last year, but he would prefer the ground to be quicker. Rocker won successive races at the end of last season, and does like cut in the ground which he gets here. He made a pleasing seasonal return when staying on to be third at Goodwood, and can be expected to make a bold bid with that run under his belt. Wotashirtfull has only finished out of the frame twice in his 21 race career, and he produced an excellent performance when a close second in a valuable Epsom handicap last time, arguably the best of his career. He has been kept on the go since the end of December so will be sharper than one or two of his rivals, and he will enjoy the easy surface. The handicapper has leniently left him on the same mark, and Wotashirtfull can take advantage.
