      Verdict

      SURYA has improved with every run and followed a very good second over this trip at Goodwood with an easy victory over an extended 1m4f at Newcastle. He has to concede weight to Winds Of Fire, who won over that same Newcastle trip though that was back in January and it's a concern that he hasn't been seen since. Ashington lost his maiden tag in good style at Newmarket and is an obvious threat though he has nothing in hand of Nibras Galaxy, 2l behind at HQ and 9lb better off with his rider's claim taken into account. Quantatmental completed a double when successful here last month but has finished last on both subsequent starts.
