TEGEREK landed a gamble at Cheltenham two runs ago and matched that effort when third in the Greatwood at that track next time. He’s come on in leaps and bounds since last season and a further 3lb rise is negated by Kevin Brogan’s claim. Le Ligerien weakened quickly over 2m3f here last month but was third at Chepstow before that and is a past course and distance winner. Chti Balko has also won over track and trip and he almost certainly needed his comeback at Bangor while Llantara is receiving lumps of weight and likes the mud, though was beaten a long way when third at Uttoxeter.
