Verdict

GRANDOUET is undeniably talented and his demolition of Kumbeshwar in Grade 1 company at the Punchestown festival last spring still burns in the memory. He was also third in the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham and his form profile is by far the strongest. However, he does harbour the occasional blemish on his record and last time capsized two out when travelling strongly in behind eventual winner, Celestial Halo, in Wincanton's Elite Hurdle. Hopefully he can make amends. Domtaline was laid out at Chepstow last time and scored with any amount in hand. He looks on the upgrade and rates the danger, although Marsh Warbler is not discounted. Last season's Finale Hurdle winner warmed up for the new jumps campaign by scoring on the Fibresand and will arrive fit and ready to fire.
