PRAXIDICE makes most appeal despite a penalty for an earlier success in soft going at Carlisle. She faced a tough task in a sales race at Newmarket last time and Karl Burke’s filly may get the better of Welcoming in this. The latter has placed in both starts on faster ground and went close at Goodwood back in August. She should have the measure of Warning Fire and Amber Lily on that form but Last Empire is related to winning sprinters and a newcomer to note representing Kevin Ryan.
Praxidice 4-1 (8-4) Raced far side, chased leaders, ridden to challenge when groups merged over 1f out, every chance inside final furlong, kept on same pace, 5th of 28, 2 1/4l behind Lorton (8-4) at Newmarket 6f stks (2) gs in Oct.
Amber Lily 150-1 (8-11) Slowly into stride, hung right, towards rear on outside, wide and well beaten from over 3f out, 7th of 8, dist behind Madkhal (9-2) at Wolverhampton 6f stks (5) pol in Sep.
Last Empire Pivotal filly out of Final Dynasty.
Warning Fire 4-1 (8-11) Chased winner, ridden to challenge well over 1f out, faded closing stages, 3rd of 9, 4 1/4l behind Epona (8-11) at Ayr 6f stks (5) sft in Oct.
Welcoming (FR) 5-1 (9-0) Chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, not quicken over 1f out, ran on final 100 yards, not quite able to challenge, 3rd of 17, 3/4l behind Feel Glorious (9-0) at Goodwood 6f mdn fll stks (2) gd in Aug.
