Mark Johnston won this race back in 2011 with a redoubtable individual in Colour Vision and he'll be hoping that MAID IN RIO can account for her rivals off topweight. The filly has already won races at Haydock, Ripon and Newmarket this term and she wasn't too far away from racking up the four-timer at Ascot. Mr Gallivanter continues to run well in defeat though connections elect to step up in trip despite a pedigree that isn't exactly abundant with stamina. Craggaknock finished behind our selection when they last met though there was no fluke about his subsequent victory at Pontefract. The Kid hacked up in a very weak maiden handicap at Bath while Gallic Destiny ran too badly to be true on his Turf debut at Yarmouth so it seems significant that Andrew Balding has given him another chance.
