Wig Wam Bam, Beverley Polo and Miss Lovat look the three to concentrate on in the opener and the vote is given to Wig Wam Bam. The selection was a good third behind Pickett at Ripon last time and as that rival has since gone on to run well at Chester, the form looks to be quite solid in the context of this race. Beverely Polo rates the main danger as this colt made a winning debut at Newcastle in May, but he then finished last on the same track when jockey Dale Gibson reported that he was 'never travelling.' If that run is forgiven then he would have a leading chance tonight. Miss Lovat did not handle the track at Chester last time but she has previously shown enough to give her place claims. The rest will have to improve to get competitive and for the winner we return to Wig Wam Bam.
