Verdict

IMPELLER delivered dramatic improvement on two previous runs this term when running out a decisive winner at Doncaster over this trip on the first day of the month. He is up in grade but has conditions to suit and can defy a 5lb rise, of which Sean Kirrane claims a useful 3lb. Macho Pride also makes appeal off the bottom rung as he's been shaping better than results suggest and his run three starts back reads well at this level. Muscika has been contesting far better races without making any significant impression but has tumbled down the weights as a result and could prove attractively treated off a new mark of 73. He was rated 87 just over three months ago and requires shortlisting. Rainbow Mirage continues to perform consistently well over this trip and is respected too.
