A wide open field goes to post for this handicap hurdle with many in-form rivals in opposition including Amberleigh House, Caribbean Cove and Master Ride and we will side with the last named. The nine-year-old from the Colin Tinkler yard fell last time out over fences but prior to that he had won well at Hereford when defeating Wun Chai. A reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat. Amberleigh House rates the main danger as he is well weighted on his best chase form but this gelding looks as if he is being primed for the Grand National, and therefore looks opposable. Caribbean Cove hails from the Henrietta Knight yard and although he disappointed last time out that may have been due to the very soft ground and he may be worth another chance. After Me Boys was a fair third behind Claymore last time. He is sure to have come on for that his first run of the season and he has definite place claims. Colourful Life is well in on his best form but he has failed to sparkle of late so is opposed on this occasion. This is a race that looks very competitive but Master Ride is in good heart at present and he looks the one to beat.
