This Grade 3 handicap was heavily over-subscribed but connections of the in-form Great Fighter and Multiculture will be happy that their charges have made the cut and neither can be ignored. Last year’s fourth John Constable is back for more and can race off a 3lb lower mark. He’s likely to help force a strong pace and that will suit hold-up horses like LONDON PRIZE. Ian Williams’ Imperial Cup winner was possibly given too much to do when just behind Zubayr and Vosne Romanee in the Scottish Champion Hurdle. He’s better off with both and was only a neck behind subsequent Sandown winner L’Ami Serge – his Flat speed will stand him in good stead here. Red Tornado will enjoy the going but still looks a shade high in the weights.
