Reginald Charles was third in a big field at York two weeks ago and drops back down a grade for this. Glory Sky is unexposed and made it third-time lucky at Kempton in May, though has been absent since with Magnanimous Mehmus also returning from a break. Vortigan didn’t find much off the bridle at Redcar earlier in the week but a visor now replaces the blinkers, though Michael Dods may have stronger claims with DESTINED. The Havana Grey filly is sprint-bred and tries 7f for the first time but she blew the start at Thirsk last month and was staying on strongly in the closing stages. Powerful Response was just caught when on a hat-trick at Doncaster and may still have more to offer, though has been raised a further 2lb.
