Baarez was withdrawn because of the soft going at Doncaster on Saturday but did beat today's rival Rogue Wave over 7f on an easy surface here in October. He looks a promising type but the handicapper has taken no chances. The same owner's Mutawathea has more to do than when landing an all-weather maiden but King Of Macedon appears to be getting his act together again and makes more appeal than Nonno Giulio. BEACH BAR had subsequent Musselburgh scorer Lesha more than four lengths behind when runner-up to Chatez at Epsom. He should have no trouble confirming that form and can go one better here.
