      Verdict

      An intriguing contest in which Suedois is eased in class in an attempt to pick up the winning thread again. He has the best overall form but others have more scope including the three-year-old HAPPY POWER, who has his ground and improved again when making a winning reappearance at Newbury. Safe Voyage steps into Listed company for the first time but was a decisive winner of a decent handicap over course and distance two weeks ago. The former Andre Fabre-trained Vanbrugh won a Thirsk conditions race on his first start for Charlie Hills and may have more to come while Mankib gets a rain-softened surface for the first time since easily taking a similar race at Newbury in September, though has to defy a penalty
