Just a 5lb range between the entire field reflects the competitive nature of this contest, despite modest prize money, but MULLARKEY should be involved at the business end. A consistent sort, he was disqualified after winning a Leicester handicap, although the handicapper still reacted by putting him up 4lb. The beneficiary on that occasion was the reopposing The Lords Walk but John Best's charge is better off here with that one now and can gain some recompense. Pendo, a stable companion of the selection, also makes some appeal and the consistency of Dashing Poet should see him in the mix as well. Affluence and Grange Walk could also take a hand.
