Riverboat Springs was highly tried last year after winning his maiden at Bath. Braidley enjoyed a good first season, winning at Catterick and Doncaster. He was also second over this trip at Newcastle while Epsom scorer Chatez still looks to be on the upgrade and Showpiece should be winning again soon and looks better treated than Red Stargazer. Both Matalleb and ACTIVE SPIRIT won on debut last month. The former may have landed the stronger maiden but the latter was visually impressive at Pontefract and could be one to follow - the Godolphin gelding gets the nod.
