Verdict

Diescentric and Marco Botti's three-year-old Bravo Zolo both arrive here off the back of good runs on the all-weather. But they'll need more to score in this grade and older horses have dominated this event down the years. PENITENT won a Group 3 over course and distance last year when there was plenty of give in the ground. After a couple of runs, the nine-year-old should now be approaching peak fitness so gets the nod ahead of Richard Fahey's consistent mare Dusky Queen, who is having her first run of the campaign. The selection's stablemate That Is The Spirit is no forlorn hope while Aeolus has the form to figure, though usually needs a run.
