In depth

Verdict

Some major stables have runners in the moderate handicap. Roger Varian's Aquileo will have found a mile too short in his two starts in October while Vulcan will also be suited by the extra and has been gelded. Lord Of The Alps was well supported in most starts last year so better must have been expected while Roger Charlton's WIN O'CLOCK stayed on over a mile in all three starts and his pedigree is all about middle-distances. The latter looks the one to be on though Alan King's Alargedram is another stepping up to a much more suitable trip and likely to improve along with The Queen's Dusty Dream, by Dubawi out of a Group 2 winner who has produced winners with her first four offspring.
