In depth

Verdict

A race big in numbers but with very few in it that are probably to win. Ela d'Argent an impressive winner at Chepstow last time out is when defeating Gabor easily is taken to follow up despite his penalty with conditions sure to be no problem. Moneytrain is from a shrewd yard and has atop jockey booked and any market confidence would be significant. Sportsman showed improved form when second last time out at Wetherby behind Tunstall and a reproduction of that effort will see him go close although he gives the impression he will be better over further. Andrew Doble was a winner on the flat over one mile but he has failed to see out the trip so far over hurdles. Silver Buzzard was second behind Ryders Storm last time out but this race looks more competitive. Cotebrook showed a modicum of ability on the flat but will need to improve to win a competitive affair like this on his hurdle debut. Of the others Itcanbedone Again could go well at a fair price if he takes to hurdles as he was a winner on the flat with cut in the ground.
