      Verdict

      Rapid Applause couldn’t complete the hat-trick at Sandown but remains in good heart and a return to 6f is probably in his favour. However, a few of these have fallen to very attractive marks and make more appeal. Watchable is one though he was beaten by Ower Fly on similar terms at Pontefract in July. Glen Moss is two from two here and should be approaching peak fitness after a couple of runs this year. EASTERN IMPACT was beaten by Aeolus and Ower Fly at Newmarket in April but is the pick of the weights today and, after a couple of below-par efforts, Richard Fahey’s seven-year-old ran well at York a couple of weeks ago – his turn may have come around again. Highland Acclaim and Hart Stopper are others to consider but both are upped in class.
