        Verdict

        Finoah has gone close a couple of times but is having his eighth start today. Harbour Spirit was ahead of a subsequent winner when third here in July and got even closer next time at Deauville so has to go on the short-list. Cloak And Dagger found 7f too far at Newbury and has every chance on an earlier second at Haydock but KAMIKAZE LORD might have more scope. Jeremy Noseda’s US-bred colt ran green at Newmarket last month but still hinted at ability and the booking of Ryan Moore suggests he has improved markedly for the experience.
