Verdict

ALDAARY was a consistent performer last season and with opportunities scarce for him off a mark of 114, this is a sensible starting point for William Haggas’s gelding. Safe Voyage won this race back in 2019 and John Quinn’s charge is always a danger if he can get his own way. Royal Commando steps up in trip though it won’t be easy against specialists. Misty Grey is better on artificial surfaces though Tom Dascombe will be desperately keen for him to show well in what is essentially his old back yard.
