NAIAD DU MISSELOT, winner of the Coral Cup at this year's Cheltenham Festival is the class act on show here but as always with the yards runners at this time of year, the question is whether he is fit to do the business at the first time of asking. His best form is with some give in the ground while connections deserve full credit for mapping a campaign targeted specifically at his victorious Cheltenham target. In time it would come as no surprise if he proved himself over further. Coe's season concluded disappointingly with a no-show in the Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham when sent off at big odds. At a lower level he had proved himself quite capable earlier in the season. Today's ground may be on the quick side for him while there is no doubt he is at his best over trips of around three miles. Logans Run was only seen twice last season, firstly when controversially been awarded a novice hurdle before contesting a Grade 1 event at Aintree. His owner has a long way to go to recoup the money paid for him while Nom De Guerre should be capable of picking up a novice chase but perhaps not at this level. Naiad Du Misselot is given the vote to win on his first start over fences but the market should tell us more.
