This is a real puzzle to solve as so many of the runners are stepping up in trip. Yaakooum has completed a double since stepping up to 1m4f and looked on both occasions as though further would suit so he's a threat despite a 6lb rise for his victory at Leicester. MIZZOU has a similar profile and his pedigree suggests he'll be even better when given a test of stamina, which he looks certain to get here. The son of Galileo is out of a 1m6f Listed winner and though carrying plenty of weight could well prove up to pattern race class and gets the verdict. Mantou was in the process of running a big race in the Melrose at York when his saddle slipped while Tiger Lilly showed that this trip holds no terrors with a battling victory at Nottingham. Purple Spectrum easily landed a Sandown handicap over the trip but pulled too hard and didn't last home when sent over 2m at Newmarket.
