Verdict

This has been run five times and the Hannon team have won three. Smaih represents the yard here but showed himself very useful on testing ground over 7f at Deauville so conditions may not be ideal. Chadic has competed at Group level since his victory at Ayr but has been found wanting and Latharnach may have a better chance as he looked a smart prospect at Sandown. Winning juvenile debuts from the Prescott yard don't come along all that often but when they do they tend to be very useful and CELESTIAL PATH doesn't look an exception to that rule. He cost 110,000 euros as a yearling and it looked well spent when he landed a York maiden in July so this step up in grade and trip should pose no problems - he's given the nod. Neither Caprior Bere nor Medrano can be dismissed in a tricky little contest.
