In depth

Verdict

A decent contest of its type and interesting to see the Newland yard sticking to Flat racing with MAURICIO despite a low-key run at Catterick when a well-beaten fifth of ten in a similar event. He'd previously scored sweetly over 1m2f at Yarmouth, handles this trip and ground and is worth another chance. War Brigade has gone close on more than one occasion this term and anything approaching his best sees him bang in contention, whilst Brancaster, First Dance and Deinonychus have shown sufficient to warrant positive mentions. The market should prove the best guide to the chances of Lightly Squeeze after a major absence and on just a third start for Harry Fry.
