GORDON LORD BYRON is well into veteran status but this season's performances confirm the fires still burn brightly enough for him to remain competitive at Group 2 and 3 level. Frankie Dettori is an eye-catching booking and he should really appreciate this drop into conditions stakes grade. Qaysar found the attentions of the handicapper too hot to handle last time but still produced a solid effort in a tasty York handicap on the back of Newbury and Newmarket wins and could go well, although conceding 4lb to the Hogan inmate is a tall order. Mizaah is interesting returning from nearly a year off and Vanburgh is preferred of the remaining trio on the best of his form.
