The newcomers don't make too much appeal here, although the betting will likely be a useful guide; the best public form is held by Commander Wish, who holds some fancy entries and is taken to get off the mark at the main expense of Sivivatu. Commander wish, a colt by Arkadian Hero out of a Pivotal mare, finished last on his debut at Newcastle and as a result started at 100/1 for his next outing at Doncaster. However, he belied those odds to finish a good third to the well-regarded Final Verse, beaten just over three lengths. He has entries in both the Champagne Stakes and the Middle Park, and the booking of Robert Winston this evening clearly catches the eye too. Jeremy Noseda has his string in good form, and it would be no surprise to see Sivivatu step up on his debut, when he showed some speed before finishing sixth in a maiden at Newbury. He should give our selection most to do, but the vibes suggest that Commander Wish's run at Doncaster was no fluke and he gets the vote.
