      Verdict

      The top pair, both progressive four-year-old handicappers, look the ones to focus on but choosing between them isn't easy. Continuum should arguably have greater scope for improvement having only had three outings and has stuck on well the last twice when looking likely to be overhauled. He is apparently not the easiest to deal with but is clearly on the upgrade and SEMEEN is only a narrow preference. A typical Luca Cumani late improver, he despatched Continuum's stable companion Running Deer in authoritative fashion last time and suggested that there is plenty more improvement to come. Forget Me Not Lane has yet to recover some excellent three-year-old form but Chancery, last of 15 at York last time when not staying, is one to note having posted solid form in decent handicap company previously.
