Verdict

BEST TRIP completed a hat-trick in soft going at Carlisle last week when scoring by over three lengths. He's worth sticking with in his current form, despite a penalty, given all ground comes alike to Brian Ellison's charge. The unexposed Magic Secret looks a real threat as the Redcar winner went very close on his reappearance at Windsor but recent Hamilton winner Barkston Ash may struggle if the rains arrive. Defence Council is consistent but still looks a shade high in the weights while Master Of Disguise has done all his winning so far over the minimum trip. Byronic Hero can be given a chance, however, and Hills Of Dakota will probably figure if the heavens open.
