Verdict
Mediterranean Sea does have a win on Turf to her credit though she tends to save her best for the Fibresand at Southwell and went close again at that track last time. By contrast, SHESHA BEAR is better at this course than anywhere else and scored three times over track and trip last year. Beaten only a length at Salisbury off today's mark last month, Jonathan Portman's mare gets the nod. Colinca's Lad was out of his depth at Newmarket last time and this is more his level while Doncaster winner Handles For Forks shouldn't be too inconvenienced by today's drop back in trip, but both Steely and Reggie Perrin look high enough in the weights now.
