Kaser won in a lesser grade here in July, his first victory on Turf, but this looks a tough task for Dave Loughnane’s five-year-old off a 9lb higher mark. Tim Easterby has a couple of likely sorts in Highwaygrey and Regal Mirage. The former was given plenty to do when on a hat-trick at Chester while the latter got back to winning ways at Beverley, though generally needs a stiffer track than this to show his best. Cockalorum is eased in grade while a case can be made for Dark Lochnagar on his latest fourth at Ayr. Something looked amiss with RITCHIE VALENS at Ripon last month but he’s had a few weeks off and a repeat of his earlier third at York would put him in the picture for this. Music Seeker may be the pick of the remainder.
