      Verdict

      Private Matter won in a canter over 5f at Nottingham and the step up in trip shouldn't be a problem. Town Charter was almost as impressive in an Ayr maiden and looks to be on an upward curve but there was plenty to like about MUBTASIM's debut success at Yarmouth. There should be plenty more to come from William Haggas' colt, who still holds an entry in the Gimcrack later this month. This looks a big ask for newcomers Ashurst Beacon and Hamba Kashe and neither of the others have shown much to date.
